“China in Africa and the Case of Ghana” Panel Discussion


Join us for a Virtual Panel Discussion on March 22 from 12 to 1 p.m. that will focus on China’s presence in various countries in Africa. Panelists are Dr. Dr. Elizabeth Asiedu, Professor of Economics at the University of Kansas and President/founder of the Association for the Advancement of African Women Economists (AAAWE); Dr. Jamie Monson, Director of the African Studies Center and Professor of History at Michigan State University; and Justin Leggs, Digital Video and Audio Archivist. This presentation is part of MCC’s 2020-2021 Stanley and Blanche Ash Lectureship Series, which features nationally and internationally-known speakers, whose presentations aim to increase awareness of key issues of global and domestic importance and is in partnership with the World Affairs Council of West Michigan’s Great Decisions Series for 2021.
