Lifelong Learners Development presentation "Why Volunteer?" by Roger Coles

10 a.m. to noon in Room G129 in the Stanley & Blanche Ash Technology & Learning Center on MCC's Greenville campus

This program will be a thought-provoking conversation to help make your wishes known. Learn vocabulary, reflect on your values, choose a patient advocate, explore goals for treatment and then take first steps toward completing an advance directive.

This program will consist of two parts. During the first part, Dr. Roger Coles, an avid volunteer, will explore why we volunteer, our motivation, how it can enhance our lives and the lives of others. Participants will also briefly talk about happiness and this session will be laced with quotes.

Part two will be a panel of four active volunteers including Church Youth Group with Natalie Klackle; Hospital Care with Ester Crowley; Big Brothers and Big Sisters with Carol Rasmussen; and Clay Street Center, Adult Day Care with Sally Fox. These panelists will discuss their individual and unique volunteering experiences and what is has done for them and for others. Prepare to be inspired. This program may change your life.
