The Young President Ford - LLL Session

Grand Rapids’ favorite son – Gerald R. Ford – the 38th President of the United States, is buried here, beside his wife, Betty, but he was not born here. In fact, he was not named Gerald R. Ford at birth. This program will tell the tale of our humble civil servant as you see actual places touched by “Junior” during his All-American youth – 1913 through 1931 – in old Grand Rapids. Experience an inspirational story of a young man who was raised in this great midwestern city to become a world leader. You will learn where he lived, played, worshipped, studied, and competed athletically. You will see Gerald Ford’s tomb and his statue in front of the Presidential Museum and his last working office. This presentation is on Friday, June 2, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. in room G129 of the Ash TLC Building on MCC's Greenville Campus.
