Financial Aid

Montcalm Community College has established a financial aid program of grants, loans, scholarships and work study opportunities in an effort to assist students with their expenses. Students are encouraged to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) used by the Financial Aid Office to determine eligibility for most aid sources. The amount awarded through each program depends greatly upon an analysis of the applicant’s financial situation.

Academic Year

For the 2023-2024 academic year, you may complete the FAFSA anytime after Oct. 1, 2022 using your 2021 Federal Tax return. The federal government must receive the form prior to June 30, 2024. This form must be completed to receive financial aid for the Fall 2023, Spring 2024, and Summer 2024 academic year semesters.

2024-2025 FAFSA Updates

Due to Department of Education delays with the new 2024/2025 FAFSA, Montcalm Community College will not begin FAFSA processing until early June. We will send out communications once your FAFSA is received.

In addition, we have not opened the direct loan request form on Etrieve for fall 2024 and will notify you when it is available. We appreciate your patience as we work on your financial aid for fall semester.
