MCC celebrates AAPI month in May

In celebration of Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month (AAPI), posters with corresponding bookmarks depicting key historical events and highlighting people who made significant contributions to Asian/Pacific American Heritage will be on display on Montcalm Community College’s Sidney and Greenville campuses during the month of May.

The first 15 people to bring 10 of the corresponding bookmarks to Co-Curricular Coordinator Andrea Dowland in the Donald C. Burns Administration/Library Building on MCC's Sidney campus will win a gift card to a small-business, local AAPI owned shop or restaurant. Those who take a selfie with their favorite poster and use the hashtag #myfavemccposter on Facebook or Instagram will be entered to win a snack box from Indifix filled with a variety of full-sized snacks from India.

The displays are funded by the MCC Foundation Stanley and Blanche Ash Community College Enhancement Fund, which supports the college in developing and enhancing career training, educational opportunities, programs and services for students, alumni and citizens of the college community.
