MCC’S Creative Writing Contest is open to all currently enrolled students and students who were enrolled in 2020 spring or summer sessions. The entry deadline is Nov. 24. Students may submit up to two entries in each category: short story, poetry, and creative nonfiction. Prizes are $30 for first place and $20 for second place in each category. First- and second-place entries will be entered in the statewide Liberal Arts Network for Development (LAND) Creative Writing Contest for Michigan community college students, where prizes range from $50 to $150.
