The MCC Foundation assists the college in its mission of creating a learning community by providing academic scholarships to MCC students, funding institutional grants for education projects and supporting building projects. Since its establishment in 1982, the MCC Foundation has contributed hundreds of thousands of dollars annually to support MCC’s learning community.
The mission of the Montcalm Community College Foundation is to support Montcalm Community College’s efforts to anticipate and address community needs through relationship cultivation and resource stewardship.
Ways to Contribute
There are many ways you may give to the MCC Foundation. A personal check is the most popular form of giving; a check given to the MCC Foundation may allow you to take advantage of income tax savings. The actual cost of a charitable gift after tax savings can be much less to you than its actual value to the College.
Online GivingDonations can be made by credit card to the MCC Foundation by completing and submitting the MCC Foundation online donation form.
employee Payroll deductionsMontcalm Community College staff and faculty can fill out an online Employee Payroll Deduction form to schedule payroll deductions, making it even easier to contribute to the MCC Foundation.

SecuritiesIf you make a gift of appreciated securities you have owned for more than one year, you may deduct the fair market value as a charitable contribution without paying taxes on the appreciation.
InsuranceIf a life insurance policy is fully paid, a charitable contribution is generally the replacement cost of the policy, or the cost basis, whichever is less. A policy which is not fully paid may also be given. A charitable contribution is allowed for approximately the cash surrender value or the cost basis, if less. Ongoing premiums are also deductible.
Personal propertyTangible personal property may be deducted at the fair market value of the property without the payment of any tax on the appreciation, provided the property has been owned for more than one year.
Planned givingConsider including the MCC Foundation in your will or trust. Annuities and trusts are available, which can provide income for life as well as considerable tax advantages.
Making a Difference GrantThe MCC Foundation offers Making a Difference Grants for projects that enhance teaching and learning and for projects that enhance the cultural, social and economic aspects of MCC’s mission.
MCCF ScholarshipsThe MCC Foundation has more than $250,000 in scholarships available annually to assist students in achieving their educational goals.
