Part-Time Support Staff
Title: Assistant Women's Basketball Coach
Department: Athletics
Supervises: Intercollegiate Athletes
Immediate Supervisor: Athletic Director
General Description: Assist the Head Coach. Selects, recruits, and monitors student-athletes for their respective sport. Promotes sportsmanship, team play, and a commitment to academics while directing their team. Follows the rules and guidelines in accordance with the NJCAA and MCCAA.
Position Duties:
1. Assist with program compliance within the MCCAA and NJCAA policies and procedures.
2. Assist with recruitment of players.
3. Assist with holding players accountable for ethical behavior and academic standards.
4. Assist team members with coordination of community service as necessary.
5. Maintain a work schedule (administrative availability, practices, and games).
6. Ensure MCCAA and NJCAA regulations are upheld.
7. Assist in fundraising in support of the program.
8. Provide publicity information to the Athletic Director as necessary.
9. Assist with prevention of athletic-related injuries and properly care for and report injuries to the Head Coach.
10. Assist with travel, food and lodging for away events as requested by the Head Coach.
11. Maintain team statistics and complete statistical entries via NJCAA and MCCAA requirements as requested by the Head Coach.
12. Complete other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
1. Associate degree preferred.
2. At least two years coaching experience at the high school or club level.
3. Valid Michigan driving license required.
4. Background check.
Remuneration: Up to $5,000 per season, prorated based on start date and availability to fulfill coaching responsibilities. This payment will come in the form of a biweekly paycheck during the sporting season. MCC will pay mileage at the current IRS mileage rate for recruitment trips. Coaches will have free access to our pool, fitness, and recreation centers.

Title: Head Clay Target Coach

Position Duties:
1. Evaluates pre-season equipment and uniform needs.
2. Recruit prospective student athletes.
3. Assist in scheduling non-conference games with the approval of the Athletic Director.
4. Supervises Assistant(s) and student athletes.
5. Monitors study tables, reviews academic progress reports, fosters sportsmanship.
6. Manages equipment and the proper use of equipment.
7. Completes year-end inventory of all equipment, supplies, and uniforms.
8. Coordination of practices and assist in coordinating trips.
9. Abides by all standards, rules, and regulations of the NJCAA and MCCAA.
10. Enters correct statistics into the NJCAA in a timely manner and follows all deadlines.
11. Ensures Athletic Department knows of all ejections or any reprimands that occur at any/all events.
12. Conforms to the administrative policies of the College and the Athletic Department.
13. Assists in the game-day operation preparation of home events.
14. Ensures all assistants, student athletes, and managers foster a positive image for the College and AthleticDepartment.
15. Builds connections and fosters relationships with high school, travel, and club team programs.
16. Keeps a positive relationship with all media outlets and submits scores to appropriate outlets after games.
16. Ensures scores are given to the Athletic Department within an hour after the game along with a blurb to enable the staff to update the website.
17. Under the direct supervision of the Athletic Director, performs all coaching duties outlined.
18. Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
1. Associates degree preferred in appropriate area of specialization.
2. High school head coaching required, or college coaching preferred.
3. First Aid and CPR certification required (or ability to receive certification).
4. Valid driver's license and a good driving record required.
Remuneration: The contract will be $6500 per season (prorated based on the time of hire). This payment will come in the form of a biweekly paycheck during the sporting season. MCC will pay mileage at the current IRS mileage rate for recruitment trips. Coaches will have free access to our pool, fitness, and recreation centers.

1. Support users through the ITS Service Desk.
2. Tier 1 support for college software and hardware.

Availability and Communication:
Respond to student inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
Collaborate with colleagues and attend department meetings as required.
Professional Development:
Stay current in the field by attending relevant conferences, workshops, and training sessions.
Engage in ongoing professional development to enhance teaching skills and stay informed about educational best practices.

Complete required administrative tasks, such as grade submissions and attendance records, in a timely manner.

Required Qualifications:
Degree Requirement:
Master’s degree in Mathematics OR
Bachelor’s degree with 18 graduate credits in Mathematics OR
Bachelors degree with equivalent experience (i.e. applied work, research, or industry achievement
Demonstrated expertise and professional experience in the subject area.
Previous teaching experience, preferably at the community college or higher education level.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Commitment to fostering a diverse and inclusive learning environment.
Working Conditions:
Part-time, temporary position based on course offerings.
Flexible schedule based on course requirements.
May include evening, online, hybrid, or weekend classes.
REMUNERATION: Beginning pay rate for adjunct faculty is $822.41 per contact hour taught.
Part-time faculty may take one class per semester tuition free. This benefit is available to the part-time faculty person, spouses, or their dependents (age 25 and under). Only one class per semester (per faculty member) and must be used in the semester in which they teach, the one immediately following the teaching assignment, or the summer semester.
During the semester part-time faculty are teaching they also have access to our pool, fitness, and recreation centers.
MCC will pay adjunct instructors’ mileage up to 70 miles round trip at the current IRS mileage rate. This is based on 50 miles one-way, with no mileage being paid for the first 30 miles round trip.
