

Swimming Lessons
MCC Recreation & Fitness Center offers several types of swimming lessons, including group and private lessons, for varying age and skill levels. All swim lessons are taught by MCC instructors who are American Red Cross Certified Water Safety Instructors (WSI).
All sessions are 6 weeks long and are held at the Pool/Activities Building on MCC's Sidney campus. Participant must be the required age by the first day of class. Participants may not make up missed classes.

Semi-Private Lessons
Each 30-minute semi-private lesson is designed to fit individual needs of swimmers of all ages, but with similar skill levels. These lessons are scheduled 2 students with 1 instructor.

Private Swim Lessons
Each 30-minute private lesson is designed to fit individual needs of swimmers of all ages and skill levels. These lessons are scheduled when other activities are not occurring in the pool.

Lifeguard Certification and Review Classes
These classes are open to ages 15 and up.
Learn how to effectively prevent and respond to water emergencies with the American Red Cross lifeguard training. Our courses are designed to arm you with the skills and knowledge to prepare you for a variety of scenarios in and around the water. With our lifeguard training, you will learn how quick response times and effective preparation are vital to being a lifeguard while also understanding the crucial elements in helping to prevent drownings and injuries.
