Closings and Cancellations
Montcalm Community College will cancel all or part of its operations in cases of extreme emergency caused by impassable roads, violent weather, energy loss or other conditions seriously endangering the health and safety of students and staff. Such closings, as well as class cancellations, will be posted as quickly as possible.

If you received a message that your account is expiring, this is planned and it is okay. The college has moved to direct account creation for our emergency alert system with phone numbers and email from student and staff records. This will ensure more of our constituents receive emergency alerts. It also will keep our alert end users limited to current staff and students. This update will happen at least once per semester.
As a user of the service, you only need to make sure your mobile number is accurate in myMontcalm. You can see how that is done here: https://my.montcalm.edu/ICS/Mobile_Number_Update.jnz
If the uploaded records duplicate a phone number, only one text will be sent to the number. The old records will be purged at the end of the semester.
