Women's History Month Create & Sip Experience

Celebrate Women’s History Month with an inspiring art class drawing from the iconic work of Frida Kahlo. Through self-portraiture and personal symbolism, participants will create a vibrant, meaningful piece that reflects their identity, experiences, and inspirations. Using bold colors, expressive lines, and symbolic imagery, we will explore themes of resilience, creativity, and self-expression. No prior art experience is needed—just bring your creativity. This class is available both in-person and online.

In-Person Details: Join us on in room D305 of the Beatrice E. Doser Building on MCC’s Sidney campus from 6 to 7:30 p.m. for a fun and artistic night out. Enjoy sparkling juice, water, and dessert while creating your masterpiece. Tickets are $10, and it’s buy one, get one free—bring a friend at no extra cost! All materials will be provided; just bring an 8.5x11” printout of a front-facing photo of yourself for the activity. If needed, email your photo to jessa.michaels@montcalm.edu in advance, and it will be printed for you.

Online Option:
Participate from anywhere for just $5. Below is a suggested supply list—you don’t need every item, but they will enhance your experience:

  • 9x12” mixed media paper (thicker than standard printer paper)
