MiTransfer Pathway: Biology

 

The MiTransfer Pathway: Biology Associate of Science program is intended to set students up to transfer for a bachelor’s degree to a participating college or university through the MiTransfer Pathways Project agreement.

 

Students interested in pursuing this program are strongly encouraged to meet with an MCC counselor in addition to a counselor from the college or university they intend to transfer to determine their plan.

Montcalm Community College no longer offers CHEM 251 (Organic Chemistry I) and CHEM 252 (Organic Chemistry II) required in the MiTransfer Biology Associate of Science. To complete this degree, CHEM251 & CHEM252 must be transferred into MCC if the student hasn’t completed the courses as of May 5th, 2023. You can take equivalent classes and transfer them back to MCC through Albion College, Alma College, Central Michigan University, Concordia University Ann Arbor, Cornerstone University, Davenport University, Eastern Michigan University, Ferris State University, Finlandia University, Grand Rapids Community College, Kettering University, Michigan Technological University, Siena Heights University and Spring Arbor University and University of Michigan-Dearborn.  Equivalent classes can be found at: Michigan Transfer Network (mitransfer.org) Students transferring for a science related program but who do not wish to complete these classes at another institution can receive the Associate of Science and Arts degree instead, please consult with a MCC counselor or advisor for guidance. Please note that the MiTransfer Pathway Biology Associate of Science will be discontinued spring, 2025.
