All outdoor events are subject to cancellation due to poor weather conditions, including steady rain, thunderstorms, or extreme wind or temperature. Decisions will be made approximately two hours (or more) prior to an event and will be posted directly to the MCC Nature Trails Facebook page.
Registration is typically not required for nature trails events, but is occasionally to make sure there are adequate supplies. For events that require registration, please view the events listed below, find the event you are looking for and pre-register via the link found there.

Earth Day Nature Trails Work Event
Sidney Campus
Celebrate Earth Day with an afternoon of community service and outdoor fun! Join us on Tuesday, April 22, from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Kenneth J. Lehman Nature Trails on Montcalm Community College's campus.
- Meet at the Marston Pavilion near the greenhouse.
- Dress in appropriate clothing for outdoor work; gloves may be useful.
- Some hand tools will be available, but rakes and trimmers could be helpful.
After the work session, enjoy a potluck dinner with burgers and brats provided by the Nature Trails Committee. If you'd like to contribute a dish to share, you're welcome to do so!

Earth Day Presentation: The 4 R's
Sidney Campus
Join Montcalm Community College's Environmental Science instructor, Heather Wesp, for an engaging Earth Day presentation on the "4 R's" and why recycling should be your last resort. The event will take place on Tuesday, April 22, from 12 noon to 1 p.m. in room M210 of the Morford Building on MCC’s Sidney campus. Attendees will learn practical ways to implement small, sustainable changes and explore the new recycling options available at MCC. This free event is open to everyone and offers a great opportunity to celebrate Earth Day and make a positive impact on the environment.
