Bowling teams finish 3rd in Greenville
The MCC bowling teams finished third in their first home meet at the Hot Spot in Greenville on Feb. 2.
Ethan Hopkins and Jerald Brownell finished in the top 10 for the men’s team, and Anna Humphrey and Zoey Guernsey finished in the top 15 for the women’s team.
“I like what I see with the development of all the women, they are learning and gaining ground each week,” Coach David Berry said. “Getting better and better! This was a home match I think overall it was fun and also a great learning experience.”
For the women: Anna Humphrey finished with a 476 (7th place), Zoey Guernsey finished with a 421 (14th place), Aubrey Marlin finished with a 382 (18th place), Alyssa Unger finished with a 359 (22nd place), and Mckenna Nash finished with 232 (27th place). For the men: Ethan Hopkins finished with a 500 (6th place), Jerald Brownell finished 474 (10th place), Nick Pennock finished 453 (17th place), Jake Cutler finished with a 410 (23rd place), Drake Syrjala finished with a 365 (27th place), and Lucas Hirkaway finished with a 344 (31st place).
Up next for both teams is the Michigan Community College Athletic Association (MCCAA) Invitational in Livonia, on Friday, Feb. 9.
