Eleven people participated in the Montcalm Community College Nature Trails Committee’s 8th annual Bramble Ramble 5K Trail Run/Walk and 5th Annual Mike Seaman Memorial 10K Run Sept. 23 on the Kenneth J. Lehman Nature Trails on MCC’s Sidney campus. 

The trails offer more than four miles of trails, which are marked with numbered trail posts and maps are available at most major trail heads. The course was a mix of flat, wide trails and narrow, wooded hills; pavement; and open fields. 

The Mike Seaman Memorial 10K run is in memory of MCC Social Science Instructor Michael Seaman, who passed away in 2017 due to injuries sustained in a bicycling accident. He was an avid outdoor enthusiast who enjoyed bicycling, skiing and running, and who often enjoyed spending time on the Kenneth J. Lehman Nature Trails.
