July Noncredit Courses

 

Learn drawing, explore the 50 states, beginning crochet, and about acting and cinema during Montcalm Community College’s July noncredit courses.  

Advance registration is required for all courses. Some courses may have a list of materials, or a textbook may be required. Visit montcalm.edu/career-development for course details or a link to register online or call MCC’s Greenville campus at 989-328-1012 for more information.  

“Drawing 101” covers the basics of drawing, getting ideas on paper and simple understanding of composition and perspective. The course is on July 10, 17 and 24 from 6 to 8 p.m. on MCC’s Greenville campus. The cost is $44. 

“Exploring 50 States” takes a look at each of our 50 states along with distinct contributions of each one to our American fabric. The course is on July 11 and 14 from 4 to 6 p.m. on the Greenville campus. The cost is $49. 

“Beginning Crochet” will teach attendees the terms, abbreviations and simple stitches. The course is on July 12, 19 and 26 from 2 to 4 p.m. on the Greenville campus. The cost is $30. 

“Understanding Cinema” teaches how to recognize the elements and principles of filmmaking. The course is on July 18, 20, 25 and 27 at 4 to 6 p.m. on the Greenville campus. The cost is $49. 

“Dinner Theater” teaches the basics of acting by going through the entire production and performance process. The course is on July 19 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. with a public performance at 5 p.m. on the Greenville campus. The cost is $35.
