MCC honors employee for his leadership - Leadership Award 2024
Montcalm Community College presented its 2024 Leadership Award to Director of Operations Taylor Male, of Stanwood, during the college’s Dec. 13 holiday celebration at Flo’s Ristorante in Greenville.
Male joined MCC in January 2017 as Director of Facilities. In April 2024, he was named the college’s Director of Operations. In this role, he leads the college’s Facilities Department and develops and manages maintenance and custodial programming related to buildings, grounds and equipment. He also leads the college’s Recreation Department.
MCC President Dr. Bradley J. Barrick recognized Male for his work.
“Taylor is being recognized by his peers for his visionary approach in his role at MCC,” Dr. Barrick said. “He eagerly takes on new tasks, new committees and represents MCC as a cheerleader. He jumps into a challenge with eagerness and follows through with detail to complete visions for the future of MCC.
“His careful management of our resources, combined with long-term vision for growth continues to keep MCC moving forward at a well-thought-out pace,” Dr. Barrick said. “He has been instrumental in the vision for athletics returning to MCC.”
MCC’s Leadership Award was established in 2002. It recognizes a leader based on noteworthy work with, or on behalf of, MCC; leadership and professional achievement; and service to MCC. The recipient is nominated and chosen by his or her colleagues.
