Centurion Athletics


Centurion athletics has returned to Montcalm Community College after nearly 40 years. MCC is a member of the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) and the Michigan Community College Athletic Association (MCCAA).


We are actively recruiting athletes for all sports teams. Fill out a questionnaire below and a member of the athletics department will contact you.

Events and Camps:

 

July 22 - July 25

Volleyball Camp

Sidney Campus

 

Centurion volleyball camp costs $70 with a Centurion volleyball shirt included and will be taught by MCC’s Volleyball coach Kara Youngs and Centurion Volleyball players.


MCC Centurion Athletics are running volleyball camps this summer for students in first grade through 12th grade! The 2-day Volleyball Camp is designed for all levels to help assist volleyball players in developing and improving their volleyball game through skill work and drills.

Grades 1-4: Mon-Tues, July 22-23 from 4:30-6 p.m.

Grades 5-6: Mon-Tues, July 22-23 from 6:30-8 p.m.

Grades 7-8: Wed-Thurs, July 24-25 from 4-6 p.m. 

Grades 9-12: Wed-Thurs, July 24-25 from 6-8 p.m.

Stride Strong: Cross Country Camp - Segment 2

Sidney Campus

 

Youths entering 8th through 12th grades. Camp Directors are Coach Kevin Sweeney, Coach Penny Dora and MCC Cross Country Student Athletes. The cost is $30 or $50 for Segments 1 and 2.

This camp is the second of two segments and builds upon segment 1, with increased miles. Athletes will participate in runs on each of the three days of camp and should come to this camp able to run four to five miles. Athletes participate in running and stretching each day. They will also have team building exercises, weight room activities, swimming/pool time and other fun events. Athletes will receive a T-shirt at each of the two segments, with this segment culminating with a 5K race.
