Agricultural Operations Associate Degree

MCC offers this program in cooperation with the Michigan State University Institute of Agricultural Technology (MSU IAT). This program is for students who are interested in gaining in-depth agricultural industry and business knowledge to apply to their own operations or to launch careers in the industry.  Of the credits required for certification, some are delivered by MCC and the majority are delivered by MSU. It is possible for a student to complete this program and transfer to a four-year agricultural degree program at MSU. All MSU courses will be offered on MCC’s campus or online. Students gain professional experience through a required internship. 

Why This Degree 

This program leads to an associate of applied science degree and integrates a variety of disciplines including plant and soil science, precision agriculture, water management, entomology, plant pathology and business management. It can lead to careers in agricultural industries such as equipment sales and service, farm operations, crop production management, production service companies and crop processing facilities with annual earnings of approximately $66,580.
