Creative Writing Contest
MCC's Creative Writing Contest opens for entries during the fall semester each year. Students may submit up to two entries in each category: short fiction, poetry, and creative nonfiction. Prizes are $50 for first place and $25 for second place in each category. First- and second-place entries will be entered in the statewide Liberal Arts Network for Development (LAND) Creative Writing Contest for community college students, where prizes range from $50 to $150.
