The Montcalm Community College Library is the perfect place to research, read and discover. The library is located in the lower level of the Donald C. Burns Administration/Library Building on the college’s Sidney campus. The library is accessible by a stairwell located in the foyer on the east side of the building, or by the elevator in the foyer.
The MCC Library offers a wide variety of resources for research, as well as on-site computer access and quiet study rooms.
Montcalm Community College’s NetLibrary meets the challenge as the most versatile eContent provider for libraries and publishers today.

Montcalm Community College Library hosts MCC Reads. The program aims to reach our community of readers, in Montcalm County and at MCC, to inspire, uplift, and enlighten by reading books that touch the hearts and minds our readers, celebrate literature and encourage library use.

Crystal the Mastodon was found by an excavator near Crystal, Mich., in 1986. Crystal is on display outside of MCC’s Library through generous support from the MCC Foundation and donor Mort Pomeroy.

Join English Instructors Greta Skogseth and Jennifer VanderSlik during Banned Books Week for an engaging presentation on censorship and the power of reading freely. Their talk, “Censorship is so 1984: Read for your Rights,” explores the history and impact of banned and challenged books while connecting these issues to stories of censorship in our own communities. This timely conversation highlights why protecting the freedom to read matters now more than ever – and encourages us all to stand up for the right to access diverse voices and ideas.
This free presentation is on Wednesday, October 8, from 12 noon to 1 p.m. in the MCC Library on the Sidney campus. It will also be livestreamed on the MCC Library Facebook page. Lunch will be provided.

Join English Instructor Devan Bridget for the first installment in the MCC Library’s new literature series “Booked with...,” which will kick off with a presentation on the exploration of the fantasy genre! This event will dive into the rich tapestry of sub-genres that make fantasy one of the most beloved literary realms. Whether you’re a lifelong fantasy fan or just curious about what makes these stories so enchanting, this is your chance to learn, discuss, and get inspired.
